The Chatelaine is your Newcomer's Liaison.  This officers goal in life is to help you find your place in the society. You will hear the  question asked of New Comers.. "Who is the most important Person here?" The answer is YOU are! The Newcomer who was willing to try something New, who put on funny clothes and tried combat or A&S for the first time! We appreciate you, we want you to come back, so our Chatelaine is here for you!

A Letter from the Chatelaine of Stan Wyrm 

Greetings from the Chatelaine's office.  

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and explain a little about what I do. My SCA name is Lady Saffee Zevce Boga, my persona is 15th Century Persian and I went to my first event in An Tir (WA) in AS 30 (1996.)  It wasn't until I moved to the Kingdom of Artemisia and reconnected in AS 33 (1999)  that I really got serious about it. I  can honestly say I found my tribe.  Over the years my husband and I have drifted in and out of the Society but  there is no place I'd rather be and nothing I would be rather than doing to help Newcomer's find their place in this Crazy wonderful mid-evil world. Please feel free to contact me with questions regarding dates and times for practices and who to talk to about various activities. I can help you with loaner garb and feast gear at your first event and guide you through your first days. I can explain all the funny words we use and help you navigate the titles and figuring out who is who. Please feel free to contact me at the info below or check out the cheat sheets on this page. Hi! We hope that the chart below answers some of your questions. If you have any other questions or would like to pick up a newcomers favor with the  symbol at right please see your chatelaine. We hope it helps people know to be especially kind and helpful. You are welcome to carry it until you get your feet under you at which point turn it in and it can help the next newcomer....
